A first for me, and my biggest speared fish in California so far that wasn’t a BFT. Weighed ~40 pounds. Taken with my Meandros 85 with bands that were about to pop, and a single flopper shaft that went in the shoulder and out gill plate. Stoned. Time in water and exploring as many different areas as possible sometimes pays off. Very grateful for this beautiful fish, especially in a year full of so much heartbreak and sadness. I shared the delicious meat with multiple good friends, and every bit was devoured fresh. End of board is 49. |
